Drug Uses
Zithromax is used for healing of infections caused by certain bacteria. It may also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your physician.
How Taken
Use Zithromax as prescribed by your physician. To clear up your infection completely, take Macrobid for the full course of healing. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days. Failure to do so can decrease the effectiveness of this healing and may increase the risk that the bacteria will no longer sensitive to Zithromax and will not be able to be treated by this or certain other antibacterial products in the future.
More Information
Zithromax may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Zithromax is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Zithromax with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this medicine. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, ask your physician. This medicine should be used only by the patient for whom it has been directed. Don't use less or more or use it more often than recommended by your doctor.
