Drug Uses
Verapamil is used for treatment of supraventricular tachycardia, a rhythm disturbance of the heart. It is also used for controlling heart rate response to other rhythm disturbances, specifically atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. It may also be used for other situations as determined by your doctor.

Use Verapamil as suggested by your physician.
Additional Information
Verapamil may cause dizziness. These effects can worsen if Verapamil is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Take Verapamil with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly negative tasks until you know how you react to this product. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, talk to your doctor. This medicine should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Do not take less or more or take it more often than recommended by your physician.
